Golden Hour POV Seattle Photograph

POV Street Photography During Golden Hour in Seattle

Now that Spring is here, I wanted to capture some POV street photography during golden hour in Seattle.

I pretty much love taking photos during a rainy blue hour in the Emerald City.

But I had to get out of my comfort zone and shoot the golden light.

For these photos, I tried to get more contrasty shots and have the people all shadowed out.

My choice of gear was the Canon EOS R and the Canon RF 24-105 f4.

Throughout the whole process, I forgot to change back to full frame so all the photos are shot in 1.6 crop mode.

If you didn’t know, the EOS R and most full frame mirrorless cameras can shoot in crop mode to give you that extra reach.

The Canon RF 24-105 f4 is a great lens to start with if you make the switch to a full frame Canon mirrorless camera.

Really sharp even at f4 and gives you that great depth of field at a 70 or higher focal length.

I highly recommend taking photos during golden hour whenever you get the chance.

The light definitely hits different.

And no, it doesn’t always rain in Seattle.
