Best Views of the Seattle Skyline

There are great views of the Seattle skyline all around the city.

Sometimes, us photographers don’t like going to the city all the times, so we decide to just grab a quick snap of the skyline.

If you are a local Seattle photographer, you will enjoy these 5 views of the Seattle skyline.

Some of them are pretty well known, and some not a lot of photographers know about.

Here are some of the best views of the Seattle Skyline.

Mt Baker Ridge Viewpoint

If you want some views of mountains with the city, then the Mt Baker Ridge Viewpoint is the destination.

Not only do you get views of the city, but you get to witness views of the Olympic mountains and the suburban side of Seattle.

This place doesn’t require any walking, depending on where you park.

It’s a really small park, but you won’t see many photographers here.

Make sure to bring a telephoto lens!

Seacrest Park

Now this doesn’t have to be just Seacrest Park, but any area around West Seattle via Harbor Avenue.

You can get some amazing views and photographs of people fishing with the skyline included.

Best time to visit the park is during sunrise and parking is easy as long as you go in the morning.

I also suggest to bring a telephoto lens to capture some unique shots.

Kerry Park

Probably the most visited park in Seattle for tourists and photographers.

You can get views of the Space Needle, Mount Rainier and the Seattle skyline.

This place is perfect for portrait photography as well.

Parking may be a little difficult during prime time, but get there early for a good photo opportunity.

Dr. Jose Rizal Bridge

Another popular spot for a gorgeous view of the Seattle skyline.

I probably end up here just in case there is an amazing sunset.

Bring a friend because it can get a little sketchy in the evenings depending where you are taking photos from.

Parking is fair and the best time to visit is during sunset.

Ella Bailey Park

This has to be my favorite viewpoint of the Seattle skyline.

It doesn’t get more better than this at the Ella Bailey Park.

You can get some unique views of the city and even have the Space Needle in frame.

I highly suggest you bring a telephoto lens for capturing the city.

Best time to visit is during blue hour when the lights are on.

Secure a parking spot early because it is very limited especially during peak hours.

Conclusion

There are still plenty of Seattle skyline viewpoints in the city, but these are my favorite so far.

If you are ever in the mood to capture some photographs, but don’t want to head into the city, then a great skyline shot would do you good.

These spots can also be used for portrait photoshoots.

Which of these spots were your favorite?
